{"id":1114,"date":"2013-09-04T17:59:37","date_gmt":"2013-09-04T17:59:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/idostuff.co.uk\/blogs\/?p=1114"},"modified":"2013-09-04T17:59:37","modified_gmt":"2013-09-04T17:59:37","slug":"ventilation-duct-manifold-1-to-3-home-made","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/idostuff.co.uk\/blogs\/2013\/ventilation-duct-manifold-1-to-3-home-made\/","title":{"rendered":"Ventilation Duct Manifold 1 to 3 Home Made"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is probable the first mention of the MHRV (Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation) so here\u2019s a quick run-down of the thinking behind it.<\/p>\n<p>The Cottage will be\u00a0a \u00a0holiday let, \u00a0if it was just us I probably wouldn&#8217;t \u00a0have gone to the time and expense of installing the system, we would open windows and turn on fans when necessary.\u00a0\u00a0 Old buildings such as this one can suffer badly from damp rusulting from our modern ways living. Holiday makers won\u2019t necessarily treat the place like we would.\u00a0 So as the technology is available and now tried and tested, I\u2019m prepared to give it a go.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The system draws warm moist air from the kitchen and bathroom and transfers the heat to fresh air that is ducted through in to the bedrooms.\u00a0 The unit runs at a low speed constantly supplying a flow of clean fresh air through the whole building.
